About Us: The vision, mission, and core values of the Beautiful Pacific Northwest website, plus the Team that brings it to you.

The Pacific Northwest region of the United States is located in the extreme northwest of the continental United States.

I know I'm not the only one who thinks the Pacific Northwest is exceptionally beautiful, and well worth taking the time for a generous vacation to this area.

Beautiful Pacific Northwest: How We Got Started

I live here and spend many days every year traveling and photographing the area. The proximity of so much diverse beauty in a single geographic area is captivating.

This is why I decided to create this website - so you too can get a photographic glimpse into the reaches of the Pacific Northwest, and then thoroughly enjoy a visit to this beautiful, mostly pristine area.

I began building the website in July, 2012, but could not dedicate time to the website until mid-2014. I did all the work myself for several years, traveling around the Olympic Peninsula, capturing the photos, researching and then writing each page.

A lot of this still ends up on my plate today, but now I have a bit of help. See our Team, below.

Building with Solo-Build-It!

This website is built and hosted through a turn-key service called Solo-Build-It! or SBI!, which I highly recommend. "Solo-" is a reference to solo-entrepreneurs like myself. If you'd like to know more about the service and their high success rates, see my SBI review here.

To bring tourists to the beautiful Pacific Northwest by bringing the region to them in pictures.

First, to encourage people to come see the beauty of the Pacific Northwest

Second, to make the trip to, and through, the region as easy as possible.

Core Values

Our core values are driven by the Golden Rule: “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you” (Matt. 7:12):

  • Honesty, sincerity
  • Truth, transparency
  • We strive to over-deliver on value and encourage and uplift others.

Sometimes timing is everything, especially when it comes to capturing the essence of a landscape or wildlife. And perhaps it all came together for you.

If you have caught a remarkable event, location, landscape, or flora or fauna that you realize will well-represent the beauty or character of the Pacific Northwest, then please do share!

You'll find many invitations at the bottom of our various photo gallery pages. We and the visitors to this website will thank you!

  • If you happen to be a professional photographer, we are happy to provide full attribution and link your photos to your own website or other point of contact, so visitors can go and view more of your work.
